I am currently having lots of fun designing my new ‘study’ space. I am moving into my new house in just a couple of weeks time and I need to get this space sorted asap. I can’t function properly without my computer, books and all my stationary organised and in order! My design criteria for the space includes; calm, ambient, comfortable surroundings that are inspirational but above all it has to be a real functional working space…
Key Pieces
#1. Good sized desk. I’m earmarking this oak desk from John Lewis. Alot of designers recommend glass top desks for aesthetic reasons but I find glass topped surfaces can be extremely noisy and annoying.
#2. A great angle poised lamp, like this one from heals
#3. A comfy chair (as well as the office chair!) to sit back and look over work, such as this one from notonthehighstreet at £763
#4. Some fab stationary accessories
both available from not on the high street, vintage style filing tray costs £62 and Pencil Sharpener £17.49
#5.Some lovely pictures, this one is very apt!
It is from Lollipop designs and costs £49, available at my favourite online store of the moment - not on the high street!
